im 16 years ancient..5′6″ and i weight 220 pounds! school starts in 15 days and i REALLY want to look excellent. i also want to do this for myself so i can finally be pleased with myself! all summer i’ve been out swimming in my pool everyday and trying to do stuff but nothing is working!! please help me!! i’m up for doing anything! i need this!
Well, I despise to pop your balloon, but that goal is pretty unrealistic. But, weight is only a number. You can eat better, workout– and may not LOSE any weight, but feel A LOT better. Besides, people won’t look at you and say “Hey, she looks like she lost 10 pounds!”, they’ll look at you and say “She looks pleased, healthy and confident in herself.”
Try cutting out the junkfood– and continue swimming everyday, it’s a fantastic exercise! Excellent luck.
Don’t listen to the girl below me, she’s probably just bitter because she weighs 450 pounds. It’s possible she’s mad because she’s all out of junkfood from her daily grocery store runs.
220 pounds?
nothing like waiting til the last minute…….you need to lose a bit more than 20 pounds
thats not healthy at all, the safest way to loose weight so that it will stay off is to loose about 2-3 lbs a week… the most you should loose is about 6-7 lbs in that 15 days… try looking online for diets and try incorporating other activities into your workout. Try walking for long distances at a low impact, this is the best method to loose weight
its not safe to lose that amount that quick. drink lots of water, lay off the sweets and salts, eat well. exersize (run) for about 30 minutes a day and you might lose about 5-10lbs by then
i guess the gym can help
You have to cautious of your calorie intake (lay off the sweets) and keep up the exercise. Getting into a routine is excellent. If you have a dog take it for a walk every night and avoid the late night snacks.
If you are 5 6 and 200 lbs, not intended to be mean, but that 15 or 20 lbs is not going to be noticeable on you…Try for a better long range goal…
Form ever follow function. Become a runner and eventually you will look like one. Do it for life and you will never regret the day you read these words. Get a pair of running shoes and only use them for running. They wear out quick enough as it is. Do it!
you really need to set your mind to it, promise your self that evry day you’ll excersize for an hour, and REALLY cut out on ALL sugar, i promise you in a week you’ll drop so extra weight.
No more sodas, junk or quick food. Lay off the bread, potatoes, rice and pasta. Eat lean meats, green veggies (no butter) and lots of healthy salads with only veggies in them. Drink five 20oz bottles of water a day.
Then exercise. Start walking. Take a buddy with you. Take a long walk in the morning before it gets hot and another in the evening when it cools off.
The secret is to burn more calories than you take in. Get a pedometer to see how many calories you’ve burned (try Target–they have them cheap).
You may not lose it all in 15 days, but you will soon.
Excellent luck!
I’m sorry to say this but…15 days is not enough time to lose 10-20 pounds healthly…you’re on a excellent start if you can just drop 5 pounds. You have to just make better choices. eat better foods lean meats, whole grains, low stout milk/cheeses ect. and exercise and when school starts join a sport, or a club that allows you to workout. and most importantly hold your head up and be proud of yourself and the “small” accomplishments–becasue the small things make a “huge” difference once your where you want to be. It just takes time!!
God Bless..
this is a quick and affective weight loss program that will help you
Hi,
I lost 5 1/2 pounds in a week by eating breakfast cereal ( fortified !! Branflakes ) in the morning and in the evening, with stout free milk. For Lunch I ate a sandwich, no mayonaise, and 2 apples or other fruit. I also drank 4 glasses of unsweetened tea.
Felt hungry only the first 2 days. I am still losing.

It is hard and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
